I spoke with Chachi and it was such a last minute booking, but he was able to accommodate us with William being our guide. We opted for wading in the stream as our excursion and William definitely knew what he was doing. Our goal was just to catch A fish, combined my wife & I ended up catching about 10 in just a couple hours. William taught us how to cast & mend the fly rod. He worked endlessly moving us up and down through the stream finding fish. I couldn't have asked for any better of an experience. If your looking into possibly using a guide service, this crew is the way to go, you won't be disappointed!

I took a fly casting class with Chachi. I had a few problems before and he worked with me on my mechanics. At the end of the class I was doing well and my confidence was boosted. The next day I caught a nice rainbow and several sunfish using dry flys. Thanks Chachi.

Chachi was awesome! I had never even attempted to cast a fly rod & he was patient & started with the basics. He was very encouraging & took time to answer questions. I would definitely recommend Chachi for lessons. I am going to book a fishing trip with him!!

My wife and I chose to wade fish for trout on a private stream. It was a great experience for us. William was our guide and was extremely patient, and worked hard keeping us out of snags and trees around our area. He changed flies regularly to keep the fish bitting, and we move locations on the stream a few times as well. Neither of us had ever been fly fishing, so he definitely earned his fee! We both caught fish and probably let twice as many get away from us. Lots of fun and we'll certainly go back.

Fishing with Chachi was incredible. I've been fly-fishing for over 15 years, but always targeted trout. When speaking with Chachi prior to the trip, he asked if I'd be interested in fishing for Bass on the Fly and it sounded intriguing, so we went for it. We fished hard that day, and we caught easily 40-50 fish between my buddy and I. It was such a fun experience. Chachi isn't just a great fisherman with a boat (although he IS those things) he's an unbelievable GUIDE. I learned things that day. Fly Fishing for bass is slightly different than trout (casting, presentation, placement, etc.) and he got us to where we needed to be....with a smile on his face. He's a fun, uplifting, positive guy who knows his stuff. Go fishing with him. You won't regret it.

Fishing with Chachi was an unparalleled experience and certainly surpassed all of our expectations. First, he taught 2 70 yr old novices how to cast a fly rod. He was so patient and encouraging that it was just a few minutes before my wife and I both felt adequately confident to fish with a fly rod. The next several hours were spent fishing, receiving additional fine-tuning instructions, as well as continued encouragement. We found Chachi to be engaging, invested, and a real pleasure to spend time with. We both highly recommend fishing with Spotted Dog Outfitters. We will certainly fish with him again. We had a great day fishing with Chachi. The weather was great. Chachi was very informative and educated on the river. Fishing was slower than he expected, but we all caught fish and we had a great time. I would definitely use him again.

Got recommended to use spotted dog outfitters for a fly casting lesson. Chachi is very professional, and caters to your needs. When he gives his lessons, he makes it very one on one with each individual. His attention to detail and knowledge of the sport of fly fishing is very vast. I would highly recommend to give them a try for anything related to fly fishing.

Our guide not only helped us catch a lot of fish. They were personable, instructive, extremely knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to be around. Great trip!

Awesome Guys

I've gone out with a lot of guides...or at least until I met Chachi with SDO. Now, when I want someone to take me out on the water it's him and him alone. Some guides talk way too much and some don't talk enough. He's the perfect balance...knows what he's talking about and has the ability to patiently teach and help. I always land good, beautiful fish and at the end of the day I always think, "That was big time worth it." He's my guy...and SDO is legit, professional, and friendly.

Spotted Dog is greatest around. My time on the boat was not only eventful catching tons of trout, but Chachi is ton of fun to be with. If you fish with this outfitter make sure you ask tons of questions they know what the heck they are doing! Cannot wait to do a float trip again!

These guys know what they are doing. I’ve fished several times with Chachi and always have a great time, whether I’m landing fish or not. He’s taught me proper techniques from fishing thin water, to fighting and landing hogs in deep eddys. I always recommend these guys. Good group.

Went out with Nathan this past week, had a good time on the water. Water was a little warm, so the fish were not super responsive. Nathan coached us along and gave us plenty of useful pointers. We still managed to pull in a half dozen or so fish and enjoyed our time in the mountains. Thanks Chachi/Nathan, we’ll be back when the weather gets cold.

I just called Spotted Dog Outfitters as I will be swinging by the Upper Toccoa this weekend. Chachi was a wealth of knowledge about the current hatches and what to expect. I really look forward to fishing with him. Awesome guy, very nice to talk to, and the Blue Ridge area is lucky to have this group locally.
